Karen Bond

Karen Bond is a licensed registered nurse, advanced clinical herbalist, licensed massage therapist, and LLLT therapist. She holds a Masters of public health with a focus on clinical research. She worked for many years as a nurse clinical research coordinator at Albert Einstein Medical Center, conducting multi-centered clinical trials in hepatitis.  Her research has been published in the Journal of Hepatology and the American Journal of Gastroenterology.  Karen began working alongside Dr. Finkelstein MD, DC, L.Ac., D.A.O.M, ABOIM, in 1999 in an integrative pain practice - seeing patients, conducting initial interviews and physical assessments, and providing holistic patient education.  The integration of science, integrative medicine, lifestyle and stress management, nutrition, and traditional herbal medicine is foundational to Karen’s approach to care.  Her philosophy is that diet, nutrition, and plant remedies have traditionally always been a routine part of nursing care and she seeks to return nursing to its roots of partnering with plants as a part of nursing care.  She has dedicated herself to the education of nursing within herbalism and seeks to bridge the gap between the two.   She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and the American Herbalist Guild.
