from Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine

We're stoked to bring back the ESHM Free Class Series! Led by Mel Kasting and Thomas Easley, and featuring occasional special guest appearances from the herbal world, this series will be both enriching and engaging. And fun, don't forget about fun. :)

Our goal with this series is threefold: To provide practical skill development for clinical students and practitioners, to connect with some of our favorite herbalists through focused Q&A sessions, and to offer herb lovers everywhere the chance to dive into crafting formulas for specific health concerns.

Poop Chat 2025 with Bob Linde

Poop: The Ultimate Assessment Tool

Herbalists love to talk about poop—and for good reason! Bowel movements are one of the most insightful windows into a person’s overall health. Digestion, absorption, hydration, microbiome balance, nervous system function, and even stress levels all leave their mark in the stool. Understanding what’s normal, what’s not, and how to assess changes in bowel habits is an essential skill for any herbalist.

Join Bob Linde, Thomas Easley, and Mel Kasting for a lively and educational Q&A on all things poop! Bring your questions about everything from stool color and consistency to frequency, gut health, and herbal strategies for common poop-related concerns. Whether you're a new student or an experienced practitioner, you'll walk away with a deeper appreciation for why what goes in—and what comes out—matters.

Come prepared with your questions and an open mind—because in herbalism, nothing is TMI!
